Legends Course
Opened in 2003 following the Australian Open, the Legends Course at Moonah Links has earned widespread acclaim and continues to rank highly in national course reviews. Designed by Ross Perrett, it may be the younger sibling to the iconic Open Course, but it holds its own as a favourite among golfers of all levels.
Slightly more forgiving yet still a formidable challenge, the Legends Course stretches 6,315 metres from the back tees. Blessed with a better piece of land, the layout weaves through mature Moonah trees and native bushland, with strategic bunkering, reminiscent of Melbourne’s famed sand belt, adding character and complexity to every round.
In a playful nod to the game’s greats, each hole is named after a golfing legend—many of them proud Australians, alongside international icons like Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus who’ve left their mark on Australian golf history.
